The 102km Dohazari-Cox's Bazar rail line forms an integral segment of the Trans-Asian Railway Network, facilitating enhanced regional connectivity. it's a symbol of enhanced connectivity, and coastal development, and a testament to CSRM's commitment to shaping a brighter future for Bangladesh.

The station terminal spans five floors, reserving the top for future use. The ground floor hosts government services, ticket counters, shops, and amenities. The first floor is the departure lounge. As a key player in transportation infrastructure, CSRM takes pride in contributing significantly to the construction of this vital terminal building.

The Bangladeshi government strategically planned to extend the rail line from Dohazari in Chittagong to Gundum in Bandarban, with the proposed Ghumdhum railway station set to integrate into the trans-Asian railway network. Construction of the Cox's Bazar railway station, symbolically designed in the shape of an oyster to represent the essence of the beach, began in August 2017.

The station's foundation stone was laid on January 14, 2021, with a construction cost of Tk 214 crore. A significant milestone was reached on 11 November 2023, when the Prime Minister inaugurated the Chittagong-Cox's Bazar railway line, marking a pivotal moment in enhancing connectivity and promoting tourism in Cox's Bazar.
